Skating at the Oval is an ideal activity for large groups and special events.
For groups of 20 or more you can make a reservation for discounted public skating by calling 801-968-6825.
Gold Package - $6.50/person includes admission, skate rental, ice cream sandwich and drink
Silver Package - $4.50/person includes admission and skate rental
One form of payment required upon arrival, Group must arrive 15+ minutes prior to session start. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards. Reserve your group no later than 48 hours in advance.

No previous experience is necessary and you may enroll any time space is available and a minimum of 4 classes remain in the session.
Schedules & Pricing
Classes are held year-round once a week for six weeks on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Saturday sessions may also be offered.
6 Class Session Fee is $60 ($10 discount will be applied for early registration, paid 24-hours prior to start of first class.
U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills annual registration fee is included.
Rental skates and helmets (required for ages 8 and under) are included in cost.

Reminders
You should arrive at least 30 minutes early for your first class in order to check-in and find the right sized skates before class starts.
Skates should be a snug fit and there should not be any loose or dangling laces.
Dress for warmth (layers are best) and wear non-restrictive clothing. Don’t forget knee-high socks and gloves.
Not all ages and levels are taught at all class times. Look for class time options for each level on the Class Schedule printed inside the Ice Skating Lessons brochure.
If you are interested in Learn to Play Hockey or Learn to Speed Skate, you should sign up for them after passing the recommended basic skills levels for each discipline.
Basic 3 or Adult 2 levels are recommended for Hockey, and Basic 4 or Adult 2 levels are recommended for Speed Skating.

A Mondo Super X track has been installed with four lanes around the ice plus an eight-lane, 110-meter sprint zone. The track has been marked according to NCAA and IAAF standards.
The facility has tremendous potential as a winter training ground for recreational runners as well as high school and college track and field athletes.
The Oval is one of the rare indoor track facilities in the state, providing year-round training capabilities in a climate-controlled temperature of 63-65 degrees.

$8 per Scout for admission, skate rental, and 30-minute group lesson and free skate time for the remainder of the public session.
Reminders
24-hour advanced reservation and a minimum of 3 scouts required.
Wear your uniform, pin, or bring your membership card to identify yourself.
More than one lesson may be required to pass all skills needed to earn your Badge, Belt Loop, or Pin.
